The UC Irvine Center for Statistical Consulting provides statistical and intellectual support to researchers at the University of California, Irvine and area businesses. The Center’s activities cover all aspects of the statistical design, analysis and interpretation of investigations in science and industry. We assist clients with data analyses in the preparation of reports, abstracts, papers, and formal presentations.
We assist new and senior investigators with grant preparation in the development of statistical designs, choice of appropriate methods, and analysis plans for specific aims. Our consultants provide statistical expertise over a wide range of specialties, including modern techniques for regression, clustering and classification, survival and longitudinal data, experiments and observational studies, time series, graphical models, and problems with missing data. The Center is formally part of the UC Irvine Department of Statistics in the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Science with affiliations with the Biostatistics Shared Resource of the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Research Design Unit of the Institute for Clinical and Translational Science, the Data Management and Statistics Core of the Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center, and the Biostatistics, Computation and Data Management Core of the UCI Conte Center on Brain Programming in Adolescent Vulnerabilities.
